THE RESTAURANT

Dettera is located centrally on Butler Avenue in Ambler across from the historic Ambler Theater. Nestled among independent stores, art-house movies, and live theater, Dettera is the first and only wine bar in Ambler.

Dettera's décor evokes a warm, cosmopolitan ambiance with its two-tiered dining space adorned with unique architectural features like exposed trestle ceilings, shadowbox light fixtures, stunning red silk umbrella chandeliers and a custom-made wine cellar atop a spectacular vineyard drying rack suspended over the bar that spans the main and second floor dining areas.

Seasonally Driven New American Cuisine 

Dettera Restaurant and Wine Bar opened in 2009 and is located in the heart of downtown Ambler, PA. Since then, the restaurant has added to the vibrant art and food scene the city has to offer. Dettera offers the highest quality meats, seafood and poultry from local farms and even our own garden when available.  Executive Chef Jeffrey Power crafts unique seasonal menus and specials. You're likely to find something new and fresh every visit. With a list of over 230 wines, we will help you select a bottle or glass to best suite your personal taste and ensure that your experience at Dettera is not one you'll soon forget.

 

THE CHEF

Dettera's Executive Chef Jeffrey Power strives to bring sophisticated food to Ambler while providing a comfortable and accessible atmosphere. A Le Bec-Fin alumnus, Power creates seasonally-driven menus with a creative edge. The classically-trained chef believes in the importance of a community and uses locally-sourced ingredients whenever available. His staff is a reflection of his own philosophy that it's the people that make a restaurant great and that the customers always come first.
